Calling All Maine PK-12 Teachers:

The Ecology School and Biddeford/Saco/Dayton school districts are partnering to bring PK-12 teachers a summer Institute focusing on climate education. This overnight event will be hosted at The Ecology School's River Bend Farm campus, with an emphasis on building an intentional, immersive community. Recertification hours will be awarded to total 15 hours. Teachers will be awarded a $250 stipend upon completion of the weekend, with an additional $250 contingent on implementation of weekend content.

The Teacher Institute for Climate Education will run from Monday June 17- Wednesday June 19.

Just us to experience place-based learning techniques and how you might include them in your teaching, learn from community partners on how you might leverage climate-driven community science in your curriculum, and hear from fellow educators on how they incorporate climate education into their students' learning.
