“My ultimate goal in life is to really inspire people to care about their natural world. In my opinion the way that you can inspire that is by helping people understand their natural world. If people don’t understand something, they’re not going to care about it.”
Kyle Brooks (Spring ‘18 Educator) is the Public Affairs Specialist at the Wayne National Forest in Ohio. In this episode Kyle talks about the ways he is working to engage the local and national communities in a forest revision plan for the Wayne National Forest and how the skills he learned as an Educator at The Ecology School set the stage for success. We’ll also hear from Kyle about the ways Ohioans are seeking to enhance and not exploit natural resources to the economic benefit of struggling coal mining communities.
