Ecology is Everywhere: Episode 5, Steve Signell (Frontier Spatial)

Drew and I spent so many hours trying to boil down what environmental education was. That’s actually why we stopped calling it environmental education and called it ecology education. That experience of trying to boil down these concepts into something a 10-year-old would understand was actually not that different than boiling it down to something a 30-year-old would understand. In the long run, you have to boil it down for people so they can get the most important things out of it and its not overcomplicated.
— Steve Signell, Co-Founder of The Ecology School

Steve Signell, one of the founders of The Ecology School, shares memories from the early years, and reveals how his experience in education went on to inform his work as a GIS specialist.
